Sponsoring Jakko Woudenberg.

A while ago Jakko came to us for a long time to talk about sponsorship.  We often get such a request, but Jakko's request was very special.  He wants to make the night watch in wood!  Since we are one of the most specialized timber traders in the Netherlands, he saw good opportunities to work together in this project.

In the past, paintings were of course regularly painted on a wooden panel.  We have, among other things, contributed to the TV program “The secret of the master” and supplied wood for the wooden panel for a Jeroen Bosch.  We also regularly have artists as customers who are going to make something with wood or are looking for a plinth for their artwork.  However, a painting made of wood is new to us.

The Rijksmuseum is, like many other museums in the Netherlands, a highly valued customer of ours.  All the more special when we participate in creating their masterpiece in wood!

With this in mind and inspired by Jakko's enthusiasm, we accepted the challenge.  Looking together for the right types of wood for the different parts of the painting is a great thing to do and we are very curious about end result!
