BiographyAt a young age, I quickly realised that I wanted to make beautiful and crazy things. This career began as a self-employed person after a two-year course in furniture making for ship interiors. In the past 11 years, I have specialised in several fields, including interior design, furniture making, set design, art installations, street art and carpentry. I excel at the intersection of art and interior & set design. This has manifested itself in creating sets for video clips, photoshoots and festival stages, as well as light and set installations for nightclubs and events. HistoryWhen I met Jakko, at the end of 2018, it quickly became clear that we had much to talk about. We are on the same wavelength, but we don't shy away from a tough discussion either. It was 'by chance' that a place became available in the team that was going to lay the annual rings floor. Jakko asked me to join and I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. It turned out to be a good decision: I found my way among the seasoned parquet installers and did not fall short in terms of skills. When the - to my mind - 'crazy proposal' came along to cover the stairs with the same (continuous) annual rings, I had an idea for how we could tackle this. |
It was an eventful year, and it was clear that there is still more in the pipeline in terms of friendships and collaborations. The Night Watch project was then also discussed at length.... In my opinion, 'even more disturbed'. I am happy to take on this challenge alongside Jakko Woudenberg. |
