The Story:

A work of art without a story can also be called decoration. The story of The Night Watch-wood is a story about intuition, connecting and being connected. 

About our childhood: how we learned things, how we developed various insights, how we went about research and making discoveries. And while searching, we gave meaning to the unknown. As adults, we suddenly let this search fall away. Most people find themselves stuck in the rat race of life, going round and round in the same way each week, living emptily between holidays. 

I hope to challenge people to look again for the child in themselves and to look at the world once again with open eyes. And stop doing shit you don't like. Live in the now: Don't waste your life, get out there!

The story and tales will unfold as we go along. The Night Watch will be made up of 400 panels that together will form The Night Watch. I want to add a story to each panel, including conversations with inspiring people linked to the people or objects that appear in The Night Watch. This will give each panel a unique tale. And perhaps all of these stories can be linked, or a very beautiful message can emerge from them. 

Of course, the making of The Night Watch is in itself a story that is extremely interesting to follow.
